Two steps back after three forward

With a key engineer laid up after a bike accident -- doored on 2nd avenue -- the code rewrite is going slower than expected. More news soon. We hope.

Also slowing us down: we’ve detected some ‘off-label’ usage of Unicorn Genes. In particular several companies that have attempted to use the Unicorn Genes service to screen job candidates.

We’ve shut down these accounts, since discrimination based on DNA or submittal of third party DNA is immoral and, in most jurisdictions, illegal. To guarantee UG’s economic future, we want to make sure that these screenings are only done via approved partners who adhere to the strictest data retention standards.
